WHY HE BUCKS WHEN HE GOES INTO CANTER?

WHY DOES HE RUSH WHEN GOING IN AND OUT OF HIS STABLE?

WHY DOES HE NOT WANT TO LEAVE THE YARD ON HIS OWN?

NOT SURE HOW TO SOLVE THESE PROBLEMS?

I am glad to say that most problems can be corrected!

Horses can have " Quirks " just like us and they have their own personalities!

To get to the " Route " of the problem, we need to understand How Horses Think?

Horses do not think like us! We can understand them by studying, at least 3 things!
" HOW DO THEY REACT?
When they are in the stable on their own?  When they are in the field with their friends? Or when we handle or ride them?

They are " PREY " animals that think safety is in large numbers, which is why they want to be with their own kind and be part of the herd and not think of us as a " PREDATOR"

Although we can communicate with them, we have to be accepted by them as the                                             
" NEW LEADER OF THE HERD " they must trust us!


I have been studying horses behaviour for many years, and using this knowledge when I handle or ride them, helps to rectify most problems.
I like to work with the ones that have lost their confidence or who have lost their trust in humans, to show them the way forward.
They are very often the horses that people judge as just being naughty, but they can't tell us what is wrong, we have to find out what makes them react in this way.
I like to work with the horse and especially the owner, as I feel the problem is very often with them, the whole relationship breaks down!
If you as an owner are keen to learn to understand your horse, you will become more confident and he will be happy and more comfortable in the tasks you ask him to do.
